List it Tuesday - I've got ideas running around my brain...

Since I now have lots of free time back on my hands with the completion of the Sketchbook Project, I have been thinking about what arty things I'd like to do next and as there is a whole bunch of stuff jiggling around taking up space in my head, I thought maybe I could list them both as my contribution to List it Tuesday and as a way of ensuring I do them (I'll have to tick them off you see!) So here is what I would like to accomplish over the next year (or so):

Finally finish the illustrations I started for the
children's book I wrote, um, 15 years ago!

Donate my dog greetings cards to Assisi Animal Sanctuary
and offer a pet portrait as a raffle prize -
I'd like to do more than walk their dogs sometimes.

Find out more about ACEOs and maybe paint some tiny landscapes that size!

Build up a portfolio of artwork for my application to
The Ulster Society of Women Artists (and hope it is approved!)

Develop nugget of an idea currently in my head.  A possible upcycling project!

  1. I can't stop ogling that red hair! Get to those illustrations, the world is waiting for that book! You really have some fabulous projects ahead of you.

Love that you save buttons. Me too!

  2. I love your artwork! I'm looking foward to that children's book. And let us know when you donate the cards to the animal santuary. I can always use cards. ;)

    Much love,

  3. I can't imagine you not being accepted in the Society of Women Artists - your drawings are wonderful... so detailed! Very impressive :) And bless you for volunteering at an animal sanctuary - I'm a big animal advocate and know how much that means to the shelter and to the dogs! Okay... I am just a beginner on Pinterest, but if you visit me there, you'll find a few button bouquets you'll really like!

P.S. thank you for your comment on my blog :)

  4. AWESOME goals, Nicola :) You're a very talented artist!

  5. Wow! I'm glad I discovered your blog - can't wait to see how these ideas progress.

(I'm currently playing with ideas for buttons as well. They're wonderful little things!)

  6. ooooo your sketches are amazing. I'm glad I found your through List It Tuesday!!

  7. i love your drawings! and the color, too!

great idea to write them down, becomes like an anchor so they don't float away.

  8. Wonderful goals and projects!!...and as always some breathtaking artwork....I adore the deckchair and beach huts one, It has brought a little bit of sunshine into what was otherwise a grey mardy bum sort of January day!! :-)

  9. The illustration is phenomenal, Chica! Wow! I hope you continue to move on that one. Your goals are inspirational...but then everything you write inspires me. (Have you noticed??)

  10. beautiful work! http://www.dbf-atelier.blogspot.com/

  11. Love the beach hut photo and the courtyard/building scene. You draw purdy! :)

  12. I love, love, love the beach scene and courtyard! Good luck with the children's book, looks fantastic!

  13. Thank you all so much for the lovely comments! I guess i will make finishing the illustrations for the book my next project-15 years is rather overdue!

its so funny that the beach hut pic is popular-that was the 2nd last sketch in the sketchbook project and i didn't care for it that much!

Megan ans Sewandsew, i really hope one of you will take on the list it tuesday role- i'd love to keep doing it but don't think i've got enough followers to make much of an impact!

Lulu- for me to inspire you is a compliment indeed! You are one of the most interesting people i've never met!

I'm going to contact the sanctuary this weekend and see how that goes.

Your comments always colour me happy! Thank you for popping by.
