Some more faces...

I have no stories to tell today so I'll keep it short and sweet (you'll no doubt be glad to hear).

Here are faces 23, 24 & 25 of the 29 Faces challenge. They're also sketches 27, 28 & 29 of the 75 Day Sketch Challenge and you'll see from the times on them I'm getting better at being more sketchy and less draw-y!

  1. Wow, you're really becoming quite fast in this. 15 minutes for the last one!? Great work! I love that bearded collie!

    1. Thanks Denise, The collie is my favourite from these three too. I'm trying to speed up but I think you can tell that from the lack of detail in them!

  3. Well, what you achieve in 15 minutes is still far superior to my own sketches! Amazing! You must draw so fast! These are all gorgeous :0)

    1. Well, I don't think so Sandra but thanks!! I'm definitely getting better at drawing faster and doing it in ink only certainly helps.

  5. I love these 'faces'! Are you going to continue with this style for the entire 75 sketches when the 29 faces challenge finishes?

    1. Thanks Kirstin. I had planned to do 75 different breeds of dog for the challenge but the dog a day calendar I was using as inspiration seems to have the same breeds repeated a few times or else the photos are action shots and not really for drawing! So I'll see if I can find some more breeds on-line or else I may have to incorporate some other animals into the challenge!

  6. I love the beardie too, and I'm also trying to sketch rather than draw - it's a challenge! We met briefly at the rescue centre

    1. Hi Angela, yes, Christine gave me your card and I'd been meaning to drop you a line! Thank you, this is the first time I've properly sketched since school! It is a challenge all right and I'm not even halfway through the 75 days yet!

  9. I really enjoy your drawings, very talented! It's funny, I know exactly what you mean when you say "I'm getting better at being more sketchy and less draw-y!!!" haha. Just the other day I was realizing i used to sketch a lot and stopped... blashpemy!! lol. No but seriously, sketching and these challenges are such a great idea. Again, love your work Nic.
