Art Every Day Month - Day 16

'Stan' - ink & gouache on recycled card stock
I've gone to the dogs again today, in a manner of speaking!

This skinny little whippet, let's call him Stan after Stan Laurel (the skinny one in Laurel & Hardy in case anyone doesn't remember!), hasn't had much luck finding his forever home yet.  He's had a couple of false starts where possible homes fell through which is a shame as he's a lovely little guy who loves not only chasing a ball but actually bringing it back to you as well which is most un-whippet-like!

The real 'Stan'
This is my submission for AEDM Day 16

  7. It amazes me every time how much your paintings resemble the picture. Beautiful work , and so sad that he still hasn't found a home. And he really is skinny.... Hope he finds a loving family very soon ...

  9. Aww, I hope Stan finds a loving home soon, he looks like a very friendly dog! Your portrait of him is lovely, you've really captured his character. I like the fact you've done it on brown paper too, he really stands out and the shadow adds so much depth.

  12. I really hope he finds a home soon. I wish my dogs would bring the ball back. I find they lose interest really quickly and I'm the one throwing the ball and getting it too. I think there is something wrong with that game.

Your painting of Stan is wonderful.

  14. Like Leslie, I love it when you paint dogs too. But these dogs break my heart when they don't get a forever home. I wish I could take them all.
