|'Me & my shadow' - ink and gouache ACEO|
I thought I'd try something different today.
I have various cello bags in different sizes for greetings cards, postcards and numerous paper sizes. I also have a whole bunch for ACEOs that I'd forgotten all about.
If there is anyone who's followed by blog from the beginning when it was still Pointy Pix you might recall a series of illustrations I did called 'Walkies' with different breeds of dogs being walked by women wearing fashion from different eras. These were done on ACEO size paper (Art Card, Editions and Originals) also known as Artist Trading Cards.
Anyway, because I had so many little cello bags I thought I might start doing ACEOs again and listing them in my Etsy shop so because I can't cut a straight line to save my life, I ordered a little pack of pre-cut ACEO size watercolour paper (3.5 x 2.5 inches) and because I'm still experiencing a love for all things gouache, I figured I do them in ink and gouache the same as the dog greetings cards.
The only difference with this one was that I didn't trust myself to draw it straight with pen so I did use a pencil as a safety net this time round!
Just to put the size of the piece into context:

The very talented S took this fantastic photo and I had been wanting to paint it for a while so I thought why not start small - I may well still do a larger canvas in acrylics of this as I really think it's a great shot!
So this is my submission for AEDM Day 9 - today is also my sister's birthday - Happy Birthday Audrey!
